Things to consider
Some of the following analysis is only applicable to those students considering undertaking the Transpersonal Art in Therapy training or for considering the Transpersonal Arts course as foundation for possible admittance onto the Therapy training.
Is the course right for me?
Please check with our Entry Requirements. Study this website and read any literature we may have sent you. If feasible, arrange a visit to the School and if needed other educational institutions offering similar courses.
Can I afford it?
Please take into account not only the actual course fees, but in addition living expenses, travel, personal therapy and loss of any current income. See fees section.
What personal qualities are necessary to be a Transpersonal Arts Counsellor?
Please check the Entry Requirements and if unsure please contact the office.
What is the likelihood of obtaining professional placements or job opportunities after graduation, whether here in UK or abroad?
Depends on which country you practice and the area of specialism, i.e. private practice, special needs, children. Check/discuss with Gill David. Please note however, that our award does not lead to registration as an art therapist with the Health Professions Council in the UK. Those wishing to practice in the UK will need to practice under another title unless already registered.
Do I have sufficient oral and written English skills to complete the training?

Do I satisfy UK visa requirements for student study?
Check with your own Home Office or UK consulate for entry and visa requirements. Also visit the UK Borders Agency website for details www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk
Am I eligible for financial support during my studies?
Some countries do provide financial support even if studying abroad. Check with your own appropriate educational/student support office. The Godparents Association may provide repayable loans from, but please acquire their written agreement prior to any course commitment. Contact details of the Godparents Association can be obtained from the office.
Is the training suitable to enable me to practice in my preferred choice of country?
Please check professional art therapist requirements with that country's health registration authorities.
