Fees : Transpersonal Arts in Therapy


Fee Information : 2010 - 2013
Note: Accommodation, food, materials and travel are not included in the fees. Fees are subject to annual review and possible increase.

Transpersonal Arts in Therapy Training (Three Years Fulltime)

(Held Monday and Tuesday plus Placement Day)

Deposit (non-refundable and offset against the first term’s fees)

  • UK and EU Students - £300
  • Non EU Students - 1st Terms Fees
Three Term Fees (Year 1) - £1200 per term
Three Term Fees (Year 2) - £1300 per term
4 Intensive Weeks (Two Per Year) - £260 per week
Placement period fee. Includes administration, tutorial and mentoring support for case study writing and dissertation, and an intensive assessment period. - £1675

Additional fee for late submission : £300
If unable to complete the course within the programmed period then a re-registration fee will be charged for each subsequent 6-month period until completion, commencing February 2014.

Campus accommodation - £65-£75 per week or £15.00 per night
Private single room sharing bathrooms and kitchen with other students. Residents share kitchen and bathroom cleaning and other small jobs. Rent is payable through holiday periods. Please reserve your room early if you want to live on campus. Rooms must be rented for at least a term, and require a month's deposit upon reservation and one month’s notice period. The deposit will be refunded at the end of the rental period if the room is left clean and in good order. Please bring your own towels. Bed linen is provided.

Financial support
Loans are provided through the Godparents Association for students taking the full time Transpersonal Arts in Therapy training only. Please contact the administrator for an application form before 15 February. In addition there are Career Development loans available from most banks or contact us for details. City and Guilds also have a limited number of small bursaries available. Application forms are available from their website and need to be completed and returned by 31 May.

Art materials
Estimated at £200 during the first year, and, once the basic materials have been bought, less in the second year. Mainly watercolours, brushes, boards, paper, pastels and drawing materials are required.

Personal Therapy and Supervision Fees
Art Therapy students are required to have a minimum of 40 hours of personal therapy (counselling and/or art therapy) taken regularly throughout the duration of the course.

Full time student requirement:
40 hours of personal therapy. Can cost between £40-45 per hour.
20 hours of supervision. Can cost between £40-45 per hour. [This cost is mostly borne by the institution where the placement is undertaken.]
Student is required to undertake 120 days of clinical practice.

Food
Personal expenses vary greatly with habits of diet. Health food and organic vegetables are readily available.

Personal Belongings
Student’s personal belongings still remaining at Tobias after 6 months from the completion of the course may be liable to be removed and/or destroyed.

Shopping/public transport
East Grinstead town centre with supermarkets, shops and local busses, is 15 min. walk; the train station is 30 min. walk from Tobias. Trains from London Victoria to East Grinstead, approximately one hour. Nearest airport Gatwick (20 minutes by taxi).

Tuition days
Transpersonal Arts in Therapy Training (full time) Monday and Tuesday with a further day for placement. Studio/study time is also required.
