Transpersonal Arts Course
For Health and Well-Being

If you always wanted to gain artistic skills, or explore a new dimension of your art as one who cherishes colour, form and above all, a love of nature, its power, wisdom and beauty, then this course is for you!

Our Transformative course is centred in the engagement with the visual arts (painting, drawing and sculpture) for the enhancement of health and well-being in ourselves, our environment and community.

The most fascinating aspect of this course is the gradual and surprising discovery of the sources of health in the worlds near and far from nature to the stars… The course promotes the development of artistic skills and aesthetic awareness in such a way that artistic processes become gateways into nature’s life-giving secrets. Through the re-imagination of a living cosmos we challenge the one-sided notions of an inanimate universe. We entertain the companionship of the plant and animal world, of the earth, air, fire and water as we work with artistic media that are imbued with the qualities of the elements, e.g. watercolour, pastels, charcoal, clay, stone, etc.

Core Course content:
In this course you will be introduced to colour theories and research these perspectives.

You will immerse yourself in an in-depth experiential exploration of colours and their dynamics.

Gain a deeper understanding for Art History as a mirror of consciousness and of different soul moods through the ages.

Develop extensive water colour painting skills in the unique processes of the wet on wet and veiling techniques.

Develop drawing skills and discover the exquisite technique of shading and the potent technique of dynamic drawing.

Develop an experiential understanding for the formative principles in form through modelling in clay.

The course leads to a City & Guilds Licentiate Diploma (Level 4/HND).

This qualification enables you to run art groups in health, educational or social contexts, with the aim of promoting wellness, such as an art group to combat stress, or to promote concentration, etc. It can also be used as the foundation for the Masters Level Transpersonal Arts in Therapy training.
